The Liberal Democrats Launched our Save Windsor Fire Station Campaign after the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority suggested closing Windsor's Fire Station and selling the site for development. After a successful campaign mounted in the press, at the Fire Authority and through the collection of thousands of names on a petition, the Fire Authority withdrew its plans to sell the Fire Station.

However, after nearly no time at all the Fire Authority came back with a plan to Axe 24hour cover at Windsor, covering Windsor's "Station Ground" from Slough at night. Consequently the Lib Dems started our Keep Windsor Fire Station 24/7 Campaign this time to keep 24 hour crewing of the Windsor Fire appliance.
