New Bus Routes Serve Schools and Save Money
Joined-up working between Transport and Children's Services have delivered better bus services for residents.
Residents across the borough are set to benefit from more than £35 million of government transport funding over the next four years.
The investment will support road resurfacing, pothole repairs, improved footways, upgraded street lighting and better bus infrastructure, helping to keep journeys safer and more reliable.
The programme also includes new crossings, school street projects, walking and cycling improvements, and upgrades to key junctions in Windsor, Maidenhead and Ascot.
Alongside maintaining our existing road network, the funding will help deliver cleaner and greener travel options, including improved bus services and support for electric vehicle charging.
This long-term funding gives the council greater certainty to plan ahead and invest in the infrastructure residents rely on every day, helping to create a cleaner, greener and safer borough for everyone.
