Conservatives Against Green Taxation
Controversial local Conservative Councillor Tom Bursnall will break open David Cameron's Green Front with a Policy Motion at June's meeting of the Royal Borough of Windsor Maidenhead opposing Green Taxation on principle. The move is yet another embarrassment for Cameron, who despite his best efforts cannot get his party to take the threat of Global Warming and Sea Level Rise seriously.
Councillor Bursnall will, we hope declare an interest, as we understand he is the driver of a gas guzzling four wheel drive, not really essential to navigate Windsor's narrow streets, unless the Conservatives are planning more pot-holes!
"This motion just goes to show that the Conservative commitment to the environment is simply rhetorical carpet bagging. They simply aren't prepared to put their policies where their mouth is on the environment" says local Lib Dem Julian Tisi
