Eshaq Khan changes plea to guilty

13 Feb 2009

FORMER Tory councillor Eshaq Khan has changed his plea to 'gulity' on the first day of a trial into vote-rigging.

Khan, 51, of Oban Court, Chalvey admitted to conspiracy to defraud and pervert the course of justice at Reading Crown Court Today (Friday).

The trial is expected to last at least eight-weeks and was delayed by a week and a half following legal complications in selecting jury members.

Khan appeared in the dock alongside seven other Slough men, including former deputy mayor Mohammed Aziz, who also face various fraud charges.

The trial continues.
