Windsor Conservatives are cutting up to 100 council posts. The Lib Dems are fighting to protect services.

The Royal Borough has confirmed between 10 and 100 jobs could be axed and several departments merged as part of a major restructuring programme to cut costs.

Leader of the council, Cllr David Burbage said the redundancies were a vital part of the council's aim to save £6.2million of taxpayers' money.

Employees are being informally interviewed about their job roles at the moment.

An announcement about the council tax figures for the next financial year is expected next week.
