Only Lib Dems can be trusted on Freedom as Tories Flip Flop on ID Cards

"Only the Lib Dems have consistently opposed attacks on our freedom and liberty," that's the message from Lib Dem spokesman Julian Tisi.

Whilst the Conservatives currently oppose National Identity Registration and the database state, under Michael Howard they were full square behind it, whilst in power in the 80's and 90's the Conservatives floated the idea - which at the time was vigorously opposed by the Labour Party.

"Throughout our Party's 21 year life we have consistently championed Human Rights and Civil Liberties both in our own country and throughout the world," says Julian Tisi.

The message is clear both the old parties are split between authoritarian and liberal wings. Only the Lib Dems are united when it comes to Freedom and Democracy.
