Jack Rankin MP continues to share his ill-informed views about asylum-seeking people living at the Manor Hotel in Datchet, suggesting online that they ‘should be arrested and deported within days’ and deliberately referring to them as 'illegal migrants'.
Instead of stirring up hateful, dehumanizing responses on Nextdoor, perhaps Mr Rankin could channel his efforts into backing campaigns by Liberal Democrats and others to change the law so that people seeking asylum are allowed to work, pay taxes, and contribute to British society whilst they face the backlog in processing their claims.
