The Post Office have shared an update on the future of the town centre branch on Peascod Street. We have campaigned to 'Save our Windsor Post Office' and this announcement confirms the Post Office will continue to operate from the current location under a Franchise arrangement.

The Post Office confirms that a franchise partner will soon operate the branch, Universal Office Equipment (UK) Ltd (UOE) - expected to complete by September 2025. They will continue to operate from the current premises and offer the same services. There is a small increase in opening hours, with the current 9:30 am opening on Tuesdays being changed to 9:00am in line with other days' opening times.

The Post Office goes on to say that they will work with UOE to review the long-term location for the Post Office, whether the current branch or a "nearby location" is best. They add any proposed move would be subject to local consultation and is unlikely before spring 2026.

New opening times will be effective from a date, to be confirmed, in August or September 2025:

Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Saturday 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Sunday - closed.

Services, serving positions, and access will remain the same. The retail offering will continue to focus on stationery.

While this is good news for the short term, our campaign to save the Windsor Post Office in the long term will continue!
