Supporting independent living and faster help for Windsor residents
From new supported homes in Windsor to faster homelessness support at John West House, we’re improving housing services for residents across the borough.
We’re continuing to take action to protect Windsor’s environment — reducing waste, encouraging reuse, and keeping our streets clean for everyone.
In March, our first-ever Preloved to Reloved event in Windsor was a fantastic success, showing the power of community action in reducing waste.
More than 150 residents attended, donating over 80 good-quality items to local charities. From TVs and kitchen appliances to furniture — and even a trumpet — these items are now being reused instead of going to landfill.
This initiative not only helps local residents in need but also supports a more sustainable approach to consumption. We’re already looking forward to hosting the next event.
We’re continuing to step up efforts to tackle littering and fly-tipping with a zero-tolerance approach.
While most residents dispose of their waste responsibly, we’re making sure that those who don’t are held accountable.
Residents play a vital role in helping us respond quickly; reporting incidents with clear details and accurate locations allows our teams to act fast and keep Windsor’s public spaces looking their best.
New national recycling rules came into effect on 31 March 2026, but the good news is that RBWM already meets these standards.
That means no changes to your bin collections. Residents can continue recycling exactly as they do now.
Together, these actions are helping to build a Windsor that is cleaner, greener and more sustainable - Liberal Democrats are protecting our environment while supporting the community.
