Lib Dems will Continue to Defend of Weekly Bin Collection

Local Lib Dems in the Royal Borough have pledged to continue their longstanding defence of weekly rubbish collections. Throughout the last 20 years while neighbouring Conservative councils moved to fortnightly collections or alternate week rubbish / recycling Lib Dems in the Royal Borough have defended weekly collections.

Both the Old Parties have split down the middle on the AV referendum. Whilst Labour is open about its split with the likes of John Prescott speaking out firmly against fair votes, far less has been heard of the Conservative Yes Campaign.

Conservative Chaos on Park & Ride

Following a four year record of failure on transport and roads - which started with the Conservatives throwing away the opportunity to finally complete their 4 decade old promise of a Park and Ride for Windsor - the Conservatives have recorded yet another failure on parking for Windsor, with the cancellation of the opening of their much trumpeted and highly expensive Park & Ride at Centrica on Maidenhead Road.

Lib Dems Promise to Slash Councillors Allowances if Elected

One of the first actions of the current Conservative Council elected in May 2007 was to give themselves a massive 91% rise in allowances. Liberal Democrats in the Royal Borough have promised massive cuts to councillors allowances if they win control of the Royal Borough in May.
